Gang, finally it is the Day One of Blogging 201. With the latest challenges at work this one comes as a relief and something to turn my attention to some other direction. I haven’t even been thinking that a project like this could be a cure for stress, but it seems to be. Anyhow, time for my favorite cup of jeera tee and the first task, which is to set 3 concrete goals for next 2 weeks.
[Interruption … kids running into the kitchen, turning everything upside-down, doing there stuff … After 30 minutes of mess and clean-up, daddy has some free time again.]
There has been some discussion on whether it is a good idea to publish your goals or not. I believe that if you are really sure what you are doing, there is nothing bad about it.
Anyhow, back to the subject … I think my 3 main goals are:
1. Learn. As any other hobby, blogging involves a great deal of learning. I’ve been blogging for over a year now. Sometimes dropping blogs and starting new ones. Finally I’ve decided that this is something I would like to do. So, it is time to learn.
2. Traffic. To me, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of blogging is “sharing”. I have enough to share, but I would like to have a bit bigger audience.
3. Experiment and have fun. I think this is one of the key points why I’ve decided to participate. I’m an engineer and I really like experimenting with all sorts of stuff. As for having fun, for last couple of month I’ve been working rally hard on my daily job and that was not much appreciated (for a lack of better term) by the employer, which lead to considerable level of stress. Now I need to have fun to handle this situation, before it gets deeper to my brain.
This is my part for today. I truly believe that participation in this kind of project is a very great idea and would motivate me to spend more time with my hobby.
As usually, any feedback is warmly welcome. Please let me know what you think.
And one more thing, if you have managed to survive down to this line without falling asleep, please write a few words in comments. Have a good day! 🙂
